Zemfira Ramazanova was born to two Ufa doctors, and her passion for music began when she was just five years old, first with piano lessons and then singing. However, her artistic interests competed with her love of basketball - she played for nine years and was even captain of the Russian women's junior team. In October 1998, Zemfira was plucked from distant Bashkiria and thrust into pop stardom when Mumiy Troll, one of Russia's biggest bands, and its record label, selected her demo from hundreds of others. They were looking for fresh and unique musicians and found a bright, talented Ufa native. Three days before the album's release, on May 10, 1999, Sergey Chernov of St. Petersburg Times" predicted that the young performer would become "the next big star of Russia." These words turned out to be prophetic, because very soon Zemfira managed to become the voice of a generation, speaking in her songs on behalf of all the young people of Russia, and even the whole world. Her ability to subtly convey emotions in complex multi-layered images of her songs has long been noted by all critics, and Zemfira's talent is undeniable. The performer's last album was the disc "Zemfira from Luka", which the artist recorded with her nephew, and it turned out to be short, but very deep in meaning. But the latest full-length record was released in the singer's homeland, in 2021, and it is called "Borderline". It was released after an eight-year break, and was met with rather mixed reviews from both critics and fans. However, a real team of professionals worked on the album. The sound of the disc was handled, for example, by Joshua W. Smith, Jack White's permanent studio sound engineer, who processed four songs in Zemfira's album. Another four tracks were processed by Jason Thomas, whose portfolio includes albums of such celebrities as "Royal Blood", "Slaves", "Daughter", "M83". The vocalist's producer was Kendrick Lamar, who is considered one of the most influential representatives of modern hip-hop and one of the greatest performers in the history of the genre. Today, the artist actively gives concerts in different parts of the world, lives and breathes music, and is in no hurry to return to her homeland. The most important thing for her is to write songs and perform them, so it seems that the place of residence is not so important for the star.
Tickets to Zemfira's concert at the Razdan stadium - a chance to hear songs from albums of different years, including new ones, "Borderline" and "Zemfira from Luka".
