James Cameron in Yerevan: A Rare Opportunity to Meet a Legend of World Cinema

On November 23, an event will take place in Yerevan that stands out from the usual concert calendar. The Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex will host an encounter with James Cameron—the director behind «Titanic», «Avatar», «The Terminator», and «Aliens». The event begins at 7:00 PM and will last approximately two hours. The format is unique: Cameron will not be appearing as part of a film premiere or a festival press conference. Instead, he will discuss his own creative journey, his work on various films, his grand ideas, and the technological innovations that helped him redefine the possibilities of modern cinema.

Following the discussion, there will be a Q&A session with the audience. Another key component of the program is music: the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra will perform pieces from some of Cameron’s most famous films. In this way, the evening combines two distinct formats—a live conversation with the director and a concert program centered on his cinematic body of work. This event will appeal to far more than just fans of «Titanic», «Avatar»

This event is worth noting for those who follow visual technologies, the evolution of special effects, and how major directors construct complex projects at the intersection of art and engineering.Cameron is known precisely for this approach: his films have frequently served as a testing ground for new technical solutions that subsequently influenced the industry as a whole. The session will be of particular interest to film school students, directors, cinematographers, production designers, and anyone keen to understand how large-scale cinematic worlds are brought to life—from the initial concept to the finished film. For Yerevan, this is a rare, world-class event: an opportunity to see James Cameron not just on screen, but in a live, in-person conversation with the audience. Be sure to purchase your tickets for this event at the Karen Demirchyan Complex.
