The history of the Hrazdan Stadium is rich and varied. Built in 1971, it has become the arena for many memorable sporting events, including victories of the Ararat Football Club in the USSR Championship and Cup. During the Soviet era, the stadium hosted matches of the USSR national team, as well as major concerts, such as Alla Pugacheva’s performance in 1984. After the collapse of the USSR, the stadium continued its active operation, hosting matches of the Armenian national team and the finals of the Armenian Football Cup.

The Hrazdan Stadium is not only a place for football matches. Its infrastructure includes halls for karate, rhythmic gymnastics, basketball, boxing, fencing, aerobics and table tennis, making it a multi-sport complex. In addition, there are general physical training halls, conference halls and restaurants, which allows the stadium to host events of various levels and formats.
