Description
The Center for Contemporary Experimental Art (NPAK), located in the heart of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, is a unique venue for contemporary art lovers. Founded in 1992, NPAK is a leading institution dedicated to showcasing and developing cutting-edge trends in painting, sculpture, installation, video and performance. It is the only center for contemporary experimental art in the South Caucasus, making it a must-see for locals and tourists alike.
NPAK’s mission is to introduce international contemporary art to Armenia and encourage the development of Armenian contemporary art. Since its establishment, the center has been actively promoting cultural exchange and the integration of Armenian art into the global community. In 1995, NPAK organized Armenia’s first official participation in the Venice Art Biennale, which was a significant step in the recognition of Armenian art on the international arena.
NPAK regularly hosts exhibitions showcasing works by both Armenian and international artists. The exhibition presents a wide range of art forms, from traditional painting to innovative installations and performances. The centre also organises lectures, workshops and discussions to promote cultural and educational exchange.
