FC AZ in Armenia

AZ Alkmaar Football Club of the Netherlands is a symbol of resilience and the desire to succeed. Founded in 1967, the club has endured many trials but has managed to become one of the country's leading football teams. In the 1970s and 1980s, thanks to the support of the Molenaar brothers and coach Georges Kessler, AZ experienced a real heyday, winning their first Dutch Cup in 1978 and achieving the Dutch Double in 1981. This period was also marked by their emergence on the European stage and a UEFA Cup final.

After a temporary decline in the late 1980s and relegation from the top division, AZ returned to victory in the 1990s under new owner Dirk Schering. The club's true renaissance began with the arrival of Co Adriaanse and continued under Louis van Gaal, when the team again became Dutch champions in the 2008/09 season.

Today, AZ is not only a two-time Dutch champion, but also the winner of five Dutch Cups and two Dutch Super Cups. The club continues to delight its fans with outstanding performances on both the national and international stages.
